This Holi season people are confused whether to celebrate or to stay at the home, the fear is totally justified as this outbreak does not seem to peak out any sooner, the number of cases are multiplying in countries like Iran, Italy and Spain recently.
As of now, their are a total of 114,218 Coronavirus cases worldwide out of which only 62,834 have recovered and remaining 4005 did not survive. The epidemic is almost on the verge of becoming a pandemic, resulting in global markets to crash.
The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 112 countries and territories around the world and 1 international onveyance (the Diamond Princess cruise ship harbored in Yokohama, Japan).
Majority of the politicians have already called off their Holi 2020 celebrations, already indicating the severity of the epidemic. Vendors are indicating lack of enthusiasm among people as sales of Holi related products has taken a hit. Sales have dropped to an extent where there are still 75% left to be sold.
Holi being one of the major festivals of India, increases the risk of large scale Coronavirus outbreak in India as large groups of people come together to celebrate this festivals, along with holi parties organised in metropolitan cities.
Therefore, it’s better to be careful once, than to be a part of the crowd, literally.
