It’s no secret that the cast of Friends — especially the women — have remained super close after the show ended fifteen (15!!!!!) years ago. This is not brand new information.
Fans hope the stars that play pals onscreen are secretly as close in real life. Often, they are not.
But the “Friends” costars prove that fifteen years after that show ended they truly are, well … friends! In fact, the friendship between Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow is very well-documented on Instagram.
Well, Courteney Cox just celebrated her 55th birthday on Saturday, and who did she spend the evening with?
Phoebe and Rachel, duh!!!
Courteney Cox posted a picture on Instagram Saturday with Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston. In the caption, she said that they celebrated her 55th birthday together. In her caption, Courteney wrote about how “lucky” she was to count Jennifer and Lisa as her friends:
And Lisa Kudrow took to her own Instagram to wish Courtney a happy birthday.
Here’s the birthday message she wrote:-
The three played Monica, Phoebe and Rachel, respectively, in the sitcom that ended in 2004. Along with Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc, they played a group of six friends who made a lasting impression on television and pop culture.
This year is the 25th anniversary of the show’s premiere. Aniston recently opened the door for a possible on screen reunion. The actress told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres earlier this month that the gang might be willing to get back together.
“Listen, I told you this, I would do it,” Aniston told DeGeneres. “The girls would do it. And the boys would do it, I’m sure.”
Apart from that picture, a few pictures were also shared by the birthday girl’s friends who attended the party. In one picture, Jennifer Aniston and Courteney can be seen posing for the camera. Whereas, another picture showed the entire group flashing their widest smiles. Take a look at some of the unseen pictures from Courteney’s party:
Missing from action from the festivities was Cox’s longtime love Johnny McDaid, as the Snow Patrol musician, 42, is currently on tour.
Cox went on to share a loving photo of the pair, calling McDaid her “all year birthday gift.”
“I miss you J xx,” she added.
“People ask us all the time, ‘Will we ever do a remake?’ That was a story about these group of people that are friends in their 30s who are finding themselves. I don’t know if there’s a way to redo it,” Cox told PEOPLE in October, adding that while the show was the “greatest job I ever had,” she doesn’t think a remake is in the cards.
